Alya is currently at work on the first chapter of her dissertation, which examines the effect of literary digression on the representation of work in Charles Dickens’s Hard Times (1854) and Fakir Mohan Senapati’s Six Acres and a Third (1897).
She is also currently engaged in a translation of Jean-Touissant Desanti’s Introduction à l’histoire de la philosophie for Edinburgh University Press’s Spinoza Studies series.
